I didn't appreciate it's lack of central narrative enough as a kid, but so many of the stories stuck with me

like when the teacher and students steal a spellbook to bring the stars down to earth, raining destruction but it turns out it's just fireworks

Legend is amazing, cheerful and depressing in equal turns

I still remember those toys in the junkyard having 'Nam-like PTSD flashbacks all these years later

I need to get back to that one again someday

sorry, feel like I might've already asked you this, but what version(s) of Wizardry are you playing?

it's from that notorious era of cut content, including an entire recruitable character 😡

I need to prioritize the fan translation of Tales of Phantasia PSX first

and I've always had a soft spot for Tales of Destiny 2 (unrelated, actually Eternia) even though it's admittedly not as good, IMHO

I should give it a try. I bought an issue of PSM before I even owned a Playstation and it had a guide for the PS1 version in the back. just looking at the pixel artwork made me want a Playstation more than FFVII

I really need to watch this. Blazing Lazer on the TG-16 was the thing that really cracked shooters for me and got me going on them and then bullet hells

the atmosphere and environments of SOMA got under my skin like almost nothing else has. I've honestly never finished any of Frictional's other games but I dragged myself across (the mental equivalency of) broken glass to see this one through 😰
