It was the perfect storm for young me - scary but not too scary, beautiful scenery, incredible soundtrack, effects that still top 99% of what comes out today, and... well, dinosaurs! I see more flaws now, but it'll always be one of my favorites.

I kinda drove my parents up a wall regarding JP. Because we still had dollar theaters at the time, I kept wanting to see it again and again, and was very proud that I could "pay to go see it myself!" 😂
And the first scene with the brachiosaurus still makes me tear up every time.
