And I think the actual way to get more return out of your investment in talent is to demonstrably trust the talented people you’ve hired, rather than pushing AI on them “to check their work”

What those pairing examples tell me is that we (as people who mentor and manage engineers) aren’t doing enough to recognize the knowledge developers gain after boot camp. We don’t show trust in their intuition, so they turn to GPT “just to check” and aren’t getting quality feedback.

I love that so much! Truly amazing to hear that work is still appreciated in the right context — you wouldn’t believe how many LinkedIn messages I get along the lines of “will you make our company’s spreadsheets more efficient?”, _fully_ missing the point. I’m so glad this course exists!

I know that I’ve been getting better at tuning the puzzles’ difficulty because the number of texts I get that start “you asshole” has been increasing rapidly
