“But how shall we educate men to goodness, to a sense of one another, to a love of truth? And more urgently, how shall we do this in a bad time?”

Daniel Berrigan
I understand that grieving should and will continue, especially for those personally affected by the horrific murders at Bondi, can we also, as a secular country, get on with the work of being a cohesive society.

And I’m asking why wasn’t there armed private security at the event if the organizers believed the risk to participants at community events was so high?

I’m with you.

As always it’s just nonsensical conservative piss and wind for his masters, and a readership that was in primary school when Apollo 11 landed on the moon, from Le Grand.

While the vast majority of us are shocked by the abhorrent murders at Bondi Australians are not Zionists. And we are inherently antibullshit.
December 20, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Exactly. We’ve recently had two police officers in QLD and two in VIC murdered by conspiracy theorists/sovereign citizens and I can’t recall any change to laws including right to protest laws to come from those murders.

It seems this casting of being anti genocide in Gaza as antisemitic is the only hook that the media, Zionists, and LNP can find to attack OUR government. This will morph into oblivion at the next federal election as did the LNP “NO to the VOICE” campaign.

Australians are vehemently anti bullshit

Aren’t Candace Owens and Nick Fuentes republicans and ardent high profile antisemites?

Killing people is wrong, regardless of their religion. Killing kids is especially abhorrent. Calling out a genocide is standing up for what's right, and equating those protests to supporting the killing of others is false equivalence, an opportunistic attack by those who are morally compromised.

Correct, the word’s origin is a linguistic one related to a few languages including Hebrew and Arabic.

Exactly

And after the tragic event at Bondi it would be derelict of me not to mention the highest profile antisemitic Australia has ever produced was, and remains, Rupert Murdoch’s father Keith Murdoch.

And young Lachlan is a legitimate money losing machine presently in role of Rupert’s speaking hemorrhoid. As thick as a plank the only smart idea he has ever had is to hold on to his father’s hand for dear life. Once that hand is gone Lachlan will return to being a financial disaster machine.

I think the last election proved it. The only ones that haven’t noticed are Newscorp (because SKY after dark depends on Gerry Harvey’s advertising $ targeting the SKY audience of 50,000 RW cookers), and the LNP because it’s mining donor’s want relentless anti climate noise to make reform difficult.

Massola is a middle aged middle management guy churning out intern standard pieces. That a middle aged man who has been in the media for decades is still in a mid level editorial role of a dying newspaper tells you all you need to know about Massola.

The reaction of RW media and politicians is going to backfire on them.
The vast majority of us who are not antisemitic will not accept being labeled antisemitic because we abhor the actions of the Israeli govt re Gaza.

We not America. Those politics of division might work over there but won’t here
December 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM
When the taillights of Newscorp’s love speed away from you into the mist and you’re feeling abandoned and old who you gonna turn to?

The Australian taxpayer that’s who.
December 17, 2025 at 10:10 AM
Anyone silly enough to still be listening to the LNP?
December 17, 2025 at 10:01 AM
Reasonable call although some of the opinion pieces published in the NYT and WP certainly challenge your assertion.

He basically had no answer to that. Stopped him in his tracks. Embarrassing.

He’s probably losing that much of someone else’s money every year in the private sector so some think it might be cheaper in the long run to get him elected.
