Most of us know intellectually that smoking is bad for you, fast food makes you fat, etc. Bad habits stick because we're getting something from it, even if it's cheap dopamine. Find better highs. Disconnect the high from the poison. Show, don't tell. Hope that helps

This is not to say that the answer is to emotionally abuse people until they do what you say. No; that's the game churches play. I'm saying, the real harm done by evangelical leaders, churches, & politics must be made *emotionally real* to people
