The USA exporting our best and brightest minds abroad and out of the public (university / government) sector is a problem in so many fields right now.
It’s almost as if we want to be a backwater.

Is $3200 a unit a good deal?
Seems like you could get a separate battery pack (definitely easily swapped out) and an induction stove for much less than that — especially when buying 10,000 units.
And bonus - that kind of battery pack might also be used to help window units (heat pumps,a/c,etc)
