Thanks for highlighting this! We'll spend some time adding a moderation document to the help section. We absolutely recognize that blocking controls are necessary and our goal is to create a safe space for both fans and creators.

That said, valid question and concern. It would be great if we could scope an app-password or use OAuth to create very long “offline” sessions.

It’s a user experience issue. Practically, there is no guarantee that all PDS implement treat expiration and refreshing consistently.

As a creator, I don't want to have to manually approve new supporters, or spend time debugging OAuth sessions in case they expire.

Not yet, but it is coming very soon along with a platform/affiliate system to allow AppViews and creators to partner and work out fee splitting.

We're very interested in providing a bridge using Patreon OAuth to allow creators and fans to leverage their existing supporter infrastructure to produce supporter, supporter proof, and broker proof records as well.
