I do like the framing of ee2e and permissioned data as orthogonal goals.

e2ee + fully p2p also has the bonus problem of trying not to leak the mere presence of encrypted data. Governments have acted on metadata alone.

having fun annotating this @leaflet.pub with @margin.at

Does anyone know of an example of using MLS for something beyond chat that would naturally beyond scale 2K+ users?

I was thinking about obs browser source overlays for @stream.place but they are hosted on @wisp.place or something like this where you fetch a record that encodes a GUI. Could make it very fun to make stuff for streamers.

People were also using a "mushroom pds" labeler to lightly troll anyone that said "bluesky isn't decentralized", not that there isn't truth to that! Moreso poking fun at someone that is clearly not engaging with the protocol (ex: haven't migrated PDS servers) making statements about said protocol.

There are labelers that have existed prior that also do this like @pds.labeler.tny.im.

that's fair, I think maybe just something that isn't as centralized would be nice?

also pls bsky add did:webvh instead of just did:web 😔

It was pleasant to use, no notes for now. I just wish someone built something that hooked into a hosting/dns provider to automatically upload the did.json and automate all the setup. Otherwise did:web languishes as only a techie-friendly option.

I think @tranquil.farm does some did:web stuff?
