I absolutely love this series. I don't know what you do, but every time you draw Mario characters it connects with my soul. My favorites are Yoshi, Daisy, and Wario so far.

I tried for 2 months and basically had to give up and take a 3 hour Teacher Assistant position. Better than nothing.

I'm not saying all those games/shows/movies are the same "quality" (subjective), but they literally made everyone stop and go "oh shit, we need to do more of this". SpiderVerse 10000% falls into this category.

Every once in a while a piece of media comes out to so such acclaim and popularity, it changes the way people create that media. You see it in every industry and throughout history. Toy Story, Super Mario 64, Sopranos, Star Wars, Steamboat Willie. It shouldn't be controversial.

Working at a Elementary School means you can kinda get a feel of what's "in" for the target audience of a lot of these franchises. Sonic is HUGE, however I have yet to see anything even Prime related. Like stuff with Movie and Game renders are common, but never seen a kid bring a Prime toy or shirt

I remember during freshman year, my friends put on ME!ME!ME! anime music video and were actually seriously warning me that it could "fuck me up forever" because it was so "insane" and were being very dramatic. I watched that shit with a blank expression the whole time.

I actually worked on a similar project during covid, that never went anywhere. Though it was supposed to be a series of found animation cels of a lost cartoon that was like the Smurfs mixed with the themeings of The Sopranos (it was very stupid) but fun for what it was
