Yeah. There are a few applications that still not have an official flatpack (Steam being the most egregious) that makes thing a bit complicated still. But flatpacks are a great option.

Been using Plasma and right now I can see the transition to 10 to it going smooth "how do I do things" wise.

We still have the issue of distros having like five ways for people to install things. But atomic distros should at least help with that.
