Two weeks ago, our Mutual Aid & AfroSoc committees & the Justice for Cornelius Taylor Coalition hosted a community cookout benefitting Welcome House residents violently displaced by the City of Atlanta from their Old Wheat St. community, resulting in the tragic death of Cornelius Taylor. (1/2)

Atlanta DSA had our October general meeting on Saturday! We discussed collaborations with unionists at Amazon and Starbucks, updated members on the @kelseabondatl campaign in the lead-up to Election Day, and hosted a forum for political candidates seeking a chapter endorsement for the 2026 cycle 🌹

Starbucks has closed hundreds of stores around the country, and put thousands of workers out of work. In response, Atlanta DSA is holding a benefit show for Starbucks workers, benefitting the Starbucks Workers United of Atlanta Solidarity Fund 💚🎵

ATLDSA's AfroSoc (Afrosocialists and Socialists of Color Section) came together last weekend to celebrate and be in solidarity with each other 🤝🏼 We spent time at the Battle and Brew restaurant and gained a greater sense of community as the AfroSoc section!
