2. Before this summer, I hadn't ever experienced true "oneness" or "oceanic feeling" before (in a spiritual, meditative, or psychedelic sense) and basically didn't think it was real. I had experienced the sublime through art and plenty of intense emotion but never oneness

explore the ideas I had always wanted to explore. Knowing that there were fellow travelers made it seem possible. A couple of my friends got married because of that series as well lol.

These are excellent. I'll go back and comment more once I'm not grinding thesis but the last one filled me with intense emotions of all kinds. Man, I'be been missing good poetry and this really reminded how good a good poem can be so thank you for that

discovering how the technicals of drawing (for example) worked (think the discovery of 2 point perspective). People yearn for the marriage of the technical and artistic but that stuff genuinely only happens occasionally and when it’s not happening the question of good art is a lot harder to answer

(posting what i texted u) I think there is this anxiety that the ambiguity of aesthetics provokes that makes a lot of people try and grasp for the objective. The easiest way to do this is to appeal to an objective that was created beyond oneself, that originated when we were still genuinely

15-20 is the highest range I've seen, 8 is fine that's honestly my average for a lot of my workouts when I'm not maxing out. I'm a powerlifter though so ymmv
