Spent the weekend at this amazing 1898 house that needs a ton of TLC. The roof got patched a bit. A little branch trimming, porch cleaning and soffit painting happened. But man, am I ever a shadow of my former manual-laboring self. 😓

I did a thing and it’s mostly fake but I spend 9 hours a day in this office.

1) Heat wire shrink tubing at dining table (battery cables).
2) Remind self not to put glowy heat gun on nice table.
3) Decide to keep heat gun in hand “to be safe”.
4) 1/2 second later reach across heat gun for next cable.
5) Finish cables pissed off.
6) Crimps are extra nice & tight. Bonus!👍🏼

I sold some of my stuff this weekend. It was super windy and chilly with intermittent spitting rain but hardy fall-loving folks were still out. Thanks to everyone who came by! ❤️

Condensate drain contraption clogged. Had a small flood. They put it in blocking the filter opening anyway & that was a pain so I cut it all out. Cobbled together a temporary fix with some heat shrink tubing and cable loom (to keep it open). Who wants to bet how long it takes me to fix it properly?

It’s almost showtime! Oct 14/15 if you’re near Blue Ridge GA. Art in the Park is happening. A couple hundred artists and a really booming mountain town with lots of restaurants.

Doug the black kitty and Vizzy the one-eyed Manx. We had a nose boop for half a second but they’re back to short hisses now…I think because -I- came along. 😏.

I thought this spider had a small branch caught in his web. Nope… the web is constructed with THIS as the bottom anchor. Are Joro spiders super smart engineers or something?
