Women scientists often do not get recognition and visibility for their achievements as their male peers. Thanks to @indianexpress.com for highlighting stories like ours which go unnoticed, that hopefully will help to change the gender bias that still exists in society.

If Dark Matter is present in Neutron Stars, can it affect Gravitational wave emission due to unstable oscillation modes? 🤔
Read the analysis in our latest article led by my PhD student Swarnim, in collaboration with CSU Long Beach, just accepted for publication in MNRAS @rasjournals.bsky.social

Our recent paper accepted in MNRAS 🎉 In this work, led by @NilakshaBarman, we present an equation of state formalism for Neutron Stars which consistently includes thermal effects, hyperons and neutrino trapping, relevant for proto-neutron stars and binary neutron star mergers

Humbled to know that I have been featured in the Stanford/Elsevier ranking of top 2% scientists in the world 😊 Though is difficult to measure achievements in Science with an index, it is heartening to get recognition for research and motivates us to work with more passion & dedication.

Communicating science to the general public may sometimes be as challenging but also as satisfying as research itself. We had an amazing time elucidating Gravitational Wave science and the LIGO-India project at IUCAA (Pune) during the National Science Day celebrations! 😄🙌🏻
