年の瀬ですが、太陽系の果ての天体が星を隠す瞬間の撮影に成功しました！
12月26日(おととい)、国内最大の光学望遠鏡『せいめい望遠鏡』を使用して、カイパーベルト天体(78799) Xewiosoによる恒星掩蔽の観測に世界で初めて成功しました！
円内の恒星が一瞬で隠され見えなくなり、その後出現している様子をご覧ください。
動画は等倍速で再生。
