We had to make a dessert with whip cream and the blender broke. No problem I said. I’ll just grab the power drill, bend a hanger wire into the right shape, and we’ll be in business. Four days later we were still cleaning up residual cream splatter.

This work uses only a very small, non-representative subset of supernovae—some of which are not even spectroscopically confirmed as being Type Ia —and crucially relies on an obsolete version of supernova measurements from circa ≈ 2010. The SN community doesn’t give it serious weight.

The truly disturbing part is his comments followed his saying he would like a third term and was then trying to demo how healthy he was.
