What happens if Aliens send probes to our Solar System?

Business sense says ET would send probes, not broadcasts. And uploading the whole internet? Terrible move. Information should be bartered, not given away. #SETI

We know exactly zero about alien intentions.
Kind? Cruel? Curious?
Even in direct contact, we may never understand their goals.
Remember The Twilight Zone episode How to Serve Man?
Turns out it was a cookbook.
We must proceed with caution.

The scariest answer to Fermi’s Paradox?
We’re not alone. We’re one of two.

And the other is… insane. A berserker. A killer civilization.
Maybe robotic. Maybe AI.

Maybe we won’t know until the comets start coming directly toward Earth—
one after another.

1/ Sending signals from home is dangerous. ET doesn’t know our intent, or the intent of others who might intercept their signal.
So instead, they send probes—quiet, science-capable, and local.

We're the cosmic newbies.

Any ET civilization we contact will almost certainly be far older and more advanced.
And the odds that they're also just ~100 years into tech like radio or lasers (like us)? Basically zero.

We’re the youngest civilization in the galaxy.

1/  📡 If we detected an alien signal today, should we respond?
Right now, there’s no plan. No process. No expert committee advising policymakers. No framework for a democratic decision.

1/ Why should we care about SETI? Sure, aliens might help solve our problems with mind-blowingly advanced tech—but there’s much more we can also learn from contact. It's about understanding our universe, our origins, and whether we’re alone. 👽🔭 #SETI #Aliens

1/ What if ET’s probes are already here, judging our sitcoms and news broadcasts? 👽📡 After watching the news, will they destroy us for being such a wretched species that poses a danger to the peace-loving civilizations of the galaxy? 😬

1/ 🚀 What Are ET Communication Nodes? 🌌
Advanced civilizations might use communication nodes—physical relays strung between around and between stars, forming the backbone of a vast galactic internet. 🛰️ #SETI

Sending interstellar signals may not be ET’s best strategy for making contact with Earth. 🚀
Instead, they would send robotic probes to surveil Earth, studying life’s evolution from its microbial inception to humankind’s emergence as a technologically competent species.

We don’t know 𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 about ET. One thing we know? ET is not obvious. That’s not just a mystery—it’s a fact. And it’s a pretty important one. #SETI #Aliens #FermiParadox #TheGreatSilence

SETI: The search for extraterrestrial intelligence. But what if our current approach is all wrong? Let’s take a hard look at what we’re doing—and what we should be doing instead. Welcome to a smarter search. 👽🔭
