A telltale sign that this is the case would be ~10 PeV neutrinos in spatial coincidence with UFO-hosting AGN, which may be found with e.g. likelihood stacking. Link to the paper academic.oup.com/mnras/articl...

We found that UHECRs from these environments can fill the transition region between Galactic and extragalactic CRs usually referred to as „Component B“ and that they explain the UHECR composition in this energy range surprisingly well.
