im sure someone could look at this and go "you're giving a show you just started a lot of credit" but aikatsu is just. very good. and even when its not that good it's still fun to watch in the background or something. which is huge for me as my attention span is shot lately

i want to get to it though. and maybe watch stuff with friends if anyone's around. but in general i dont think im gonna leave the house tomorrow unless i absolutely have too lmao

im watching it on aniwatch which definitely has decoding issues and doesn't have the text/karaoke whatsoever for the songs. i figured id wait until stars to start torrenting but then i got lazy and wanted to watch the first ep right away lol [ill probably torrent from now on though]

i genuinely had to pause before i went to the next episode because this made me so shocked. the fact that this happened to SUMIRE of all characters... during her final performance... im going insane

good to know! i had a feeling pripara was more comedic/surreal. i started with rainbow live because the story was pretty captivating, but it was definitely more serious imho and i know pretty series can vary wildly depending on the iteration

i saw rainbow live sometime last year and it damaged my brain so badly [in a good way] that its in my top 10 anime of all time. i know aurora dream has of bonkers shit going on behind the scenes so im stoked for it >:)

for reference ive started everything on here except pripara. i dont count the ~10 or so episodes ive seen from random points over the years either so id be going in blind outside of loving sophie and hibiki lol

im rambling so ill shut up lol but the past few episodes have taken a much more serious/"final" tone, which i really like. it makes me wish the show took more time to focus on quieter scenes/1 on 1 moments, ESPECIALLY with akari. it really helps her character imho

ill have more thoughts when i ultimately finish it but despite the issues/nitpicks its been a very fun watch. im attached to the world even if it does come across as too perfect/happy at times. but thats... kinda the point. its meant to be something positive
