Just finished designing a PCB footprint for a GBA sp connector. Used in a GB/GBA breakout board, and some future projects. It will also be released as a KiCAD library with other footprints I design.

Spent the day fighting Wordpress and BBpress. Not the day I wanted to have. Should be publishing the new Twitch Schedule soon! Will be just gameplay/designing/crafting visually until the model for techWitch Astra is complete.

Sometime this upcoming month I’ll be streaming some content on both SMD soldering, and Through hole. Also we will be talking a bit about the @ifixit.com Soldering Station and the Rigol DHO914S Oscilloscope. Both I’ve recently added to my electronics toolset. Likely soldering a board I designed.

I just rode Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom for what will likely be my last time and it’s really hitting me hard. It’s a ride I worked, a ride I love, and one that shaped my career. I think re-theming it is a massive mis-step for Disney, but one they take nonetheless.

Bluesky adding a live feature that can link to other platforms is proof that they care about the users on the platform. Twitter hiding links to twitch and other socials was such a bad move for users in a desperate attempt to keep users on platform.

Later today or this weekend I will be releasing the PCB and schematic files for a GBA Cartridge Slot Breakout Board. It can be used for reverse engineering or probing a cartridge!

@ryanmcbeth.bsky.social In your latest video you showed percentages of inauthentic profiles, but it looked like at least in the data you showed was mostly checked against X. How do those numbers compare on other platforms? (I’m just curious if there are trends per platform on that topic)

Last month I started planning a rebrand of my twitch channel to both change the format (me vs VTuber avatar), and a focus on more specific content/specialization. As we head into the beginning of the year, I plan on starting to roll out and tease that rebranding.

I feel like I needed this lesson a while ago and still relearn it. Not very problem needs to be solved with a fully 3d printed part. In fact the best designs I’ve made are hybrid parts.

I’ve been commenting about this a lot on AI posts on other platforms. Maybe the water usage doesn’t worry you, or the ethical art concerns, or maybe the electricity rates don’t hit you, but I promise the lack of RAM and video chips will. This AI grift needs to end.
Jesus Christ I built my computer at the right time last month. My ram prices were 40% of this.

Just watched a YouTube short that called the contact pads on the back of the DS for wireless charging. Marketing really is making us less educated about tech technology. Wire is a shorter word for Conductor, which could be a metal plate, pin, wire, etc.

One of my favorite free apps is Pocket TCG, which is a lite Pokemon card game. For a couple days now I’ve been trading/sharing with someone who randomly added me. This one person changed how I use this app. I don’t know who you are Andy Moogle, but thank you for making my days better! #pockettcg
