We establish a simple yet robust relationship between net PO3 and geophysical parameters obtained from several AQ campaigns. We show that remote sensing data can constrain these parameters, enabling us to produce the first global maps of PO3 with unprecedented resolution. doi.org/10.5194/acp-...

It's hard to be motivated to talk about science these days, but it might be a good distraction. How well can a GSFC model (a quarter degree) convert NO2 columns to near-surface mixing ratios? We used 77 aircraft spirals at OMI revisit to answer it. It's fine, but there is still room for improvement:

After months of attempts, we parameterized ozone production rates based on measurable compounds by satellites without relying on HCHO/NO2. An L2-regularized DNN makes this isopleth, providing PO3 and the sensitivities for various envs (NOx-sensitive, VOC-sensitive, light-limited, water-limited, ..).
