The EU surely has sovereignty and can set its own rules and regs. Businesses that operate in their jurisdiction should respect that. X have the freedom to not operate in the EU if they don’t like that. So what’s the problem?

Your point seems to be that the BBC should be political to your point of view (‘have a backbone’) and if they don’t then they are political the other way. the biggest issue in the world isn’t how the BBC covers the WC and amplifying that as an issue is the playbook of those that wish to distract us.
