To close this off, I'm just tired. I'm tired of the Dems just getting off with some nasty words now just to pull their Messiah complex bullshit next election and everything be sunshine and rainbows. They're a problem too. They aren't the good guy, they're the bare minimum alternative to the bad guy.

Because like look, man. Maybe the country is just red now, sure. Maybe Elon didn't pull any funky shit and we're just coping about a steal. But we're *REALLY* not going to double check? We're just *REALLY* gonna "take the high road" and cede power without verifying? Shits a joke man.

They don't give a fuck about being in power even! Because they're unpopular when they don't do anything in office! Kamala handed that election away ASAP when it got called there was no like, "hey my fellow progressives, we should recount because shit looks funny" just "haha yeah here you go"

You can write my rant off as conspiratorial but like ask yourself, aren't the Dems kinda telling on themselves with each and every new thing that happens? That they don't give a fuck about us and they are NOT a friendly party? They're there because when someone doesn't vote red they soak the vote.

And do we *REALLY* think these fucking people aren't also benefitting from like insider trading and shit behind it all? Like seriously? The money they make and the positions they're in and they ARENT taking advantage of it? We just need to fucking get real man we can't fix this by just bitching.

It's just a game of dress up. There are probably individual politicians who do actually have wants to help the public but most of them are just rich leeches that vote for whatever keeps them popular with their constituency so they can collect a paycheck. If they want something to pass they collude.

Yes, I'm aware the Trumpers hold the house and senate but frankly that doesn't even matter in the scope of what I'm talking about. The Democratic party exists to enable the Republicans because they all fucking benefit from this shit. It's the "Bad guy" party and the "Good guy" party

When a Republican president is in they do whatever the fuck they want regardless of backlash and when a Democrat president is in it's just complaints about how everyone is so ungrateful and they're blocked all the time and it's totally not them being too inept to fucking govern.

I got sold on this being the case when they overwhelmingly sucked trump off over the "I'm gonna lower prices" thing. No evidence of how he would or even could do so, he just said he was gonna do it, and that's great! "He said he was going to do that for me and that justifies my vote."

I think it's very possible that it's just that they're *told* that it's good. "We're doing this for you, we're doing that for you." It doesn't exactly matter to them if there's any truth to the claim, but they feel justified because the people they're voting for are saying they're helping them.

There aren't two sides, the "little shit had it coming" has a monopoly on this one. If the kid didn't want to get hit they shouldn't have been so hittable.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but the fact that the Democrats grovel at the feet of the right every time there's a conflict doesn't give me high hopes that they're gonna stick up for a trans-woman in Congress.

"Shut up, sit down, or we don't back you." Is pretty much what I'm envisioning.

They're woefully spineless. They exist to be the party just left of wherever the right is. The party line is wherever conservatives decide it is on every issue. The Democrats will be right there when they're called sitting JUST on the other side of it.

It's embarrassing.

Just as a bit of a conclusion and clarification, I'm talking about the Dem political party, not progressive peoples. I know there's a shitton of wonderful allies and people who also just want to help each other.

But the Democratic Political Party can eat a dick.

I'm always gonna vote blue, but I just want to kind of open up the idea that the Democrats are not going to protect trans people or our rights.

They are our only option until something changes, but they only give a fuck about us because the other side hates us.

We're bargaining chips to them.

I'm not going on this rant to further a "both sides bad" kind of argument, but I feel like I just want to finally get it off my chest that like, yeah I fucking hate Biden, and I hate Kamala's ass too, and I fucking loathe that I've got to vote for them just to keep my rights where they are.

Clown-ass candidates, apologetic concessions to fascists, and an incessant need to point out that they're "progressive" in the sense that they aren't the other guys. I've never felt like the Democratic political party was my friend, I've felt like the Democratic political party is my only option.
