An unprofessional with a blog like it's the mid-2000s. No agenda. Just a random and unapologetic love of books, theater, humanity, music... and so much more!

Check out ashbydodd.com, or don't. We're cool either way!
I bought Maria Ressa's book "How to Stand Up to a Dictator" - I can't wait to get started! 📚💙🔥

Have you watched her interview with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show? Brilliant.

Aftertaste by @darialavelleauthor.bsky.social is about a ghost kitchen - not the kind on DoorDash, but a kitchen for ghosts... or a restaurant, actually.

This book is a total surprise - unique premise, unpredictable storyline -🤞hoping it sticks the landing!

⭐️ 3.25/5 - The Unraveling of Julia by Lisa Scottoline: murder, mystery, a hint of the paranormal, and a Tuscan villa full of secrets. A bit overstuffed at times, but never dull! 📚💙🎧 #BookSky #BookClub #Audiobook #JustFinished

It's all about timing. I'd enjoy the book Charlottesville by Deborah Baker more if it were 2024. It's well written and interesting, but so far, for me, it just feels depressing in the current political and social climate 📚💙 #booksky #charlottesville #nowreading #bookclub #nonfiction #imho

1st Stephen King book I read was Eyes of the Dragon in 6th grade. Then The Talisman blew my mind 🤯 They showed me not to be scared of his books and what an incredible storyteller he is. Can’t wait to see what the Stranger Things team and Netflix do with The Talisman series! 📺💙📚🔥 #BookSky #TVSky

⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Thousand Natural Shocks by @omarhussain10.bsky.social

This surprised me in the BEST way! It's a thriller, but also kind of a family drama, and has scenes reminiscent of Saw movies, with sci-fi elements... WHAT a ride! 📚💙🔥 #BookSky #BookClub #ReadThis
