This seems like an exploit in their systems; it does not seem intentional whatsoever. A third party claimed that there was another song, so Spotify allowed people to access it and removed it when notified. This situation will likely be entirely resolved in the future.

That doesn't make much sense. Most of these medicines are generic products, and the margin there is near zero. Why would "big pharma" want to push it if there is so little margin?

yeah, I just think PDFs as an export to hand to other people are unwieldy, and I'd rather give them a proper link. I have the PDFs on my website (ash.lgbt/notes) but it's rather inelegant

markdown as a format isn't ideal for what I want to do, and typst is already a human readable format
I'm excited for html export for typst, and we'll see what happens otherwise. I want to construct a tree of knowledge, with a specific topological sort, and most things aren't conducive to that

indeed, but it allows establishing a solid hierarchy without really bending something into an unintended direction
most things I take notes on are very topic specific. eventually I'll combine notes from separate fields, but that will be when I find some notetaking software I really love (unlikely)

I was using it to make little diagrams to export as images for other programs, and it got very mad eventually. also, the new ai calculator features are horrendous and need to be turned off on every single note (no, it cannot solve integrals, but it will misread what I wrote and try anyways)

just to PDF. it works for single notes but if I want to send someone everything it just doesn't. there's also no overall order to obsidian, it's just what has been most recently edited. this is a fine decision, but it's not how my brain works

I used to use Obsidian, but the nonlinearity and poor exporting into something that can be shared irked me. and then there's the terribleness of latex math, but that's not what pushed me over the edge

it's really saying failure is neutral, but often has good side effects (it's very rare you learn nothing!)
you made progress by reducing the space of designs to try. was there a better choice? maybe, but it's hard to find that in general

on the other hand, the lack of a built in doc and the fact that power management seems ~inconvenient is unfortunate, but since it's so extendable, very easy to just solve
