Carl's Doomsday Scenario by Matt Dinniman

With Lit-RPGs it's usually about the profession in "the Game" so it's a bit harder to set up individual arches for books. In something like this it works to segment them into levels, in this case the Dungeon Floors. The 1st book had the first two,

Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

I'm having great fun with this. I like Lit-RPGs and I think this the first western title I've read with it. (Last one was Solo Leveling, I think.) Or rather listened too. Everyone on the interwebs recommends the audiobook for this and I'm no exception;

I forgot to mention this before but this book has one fo the most beautiful dedications I've read.

Aurora's End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

It was a bit late, wenn ich finished this last night so it might have been that when I had to read over what happened at the final battle. But I like the solution. It was different from what I expected after Book One.

Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I'm really glad I have the next book available because the cliffhanger was no joke. Because it's YA, even if it's upper YA, it had some emotional decisions where I wanted to shake the book, but overall I liked it and the characters. Fin is my favourite

Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I had a long journey until I finally picked this up but when I did, I DEVOURED it. The idea that someone is the lone survivor and spend 2 unplanned centuries in cryo sleep, always gets me, idk why. The intrigue is instantly there.

This Princess Kills Monsters by Ry Herman

This was hilarious and beautifully queer, I loved every second of it. A lot of fairy tales are folded within the satirical mantle of this story and it was great. As someone who grew up listening to fairy tales on tape when falling asleep, and being German

The Memory Hunters by Mia Tsai

I liked this. In the beginning I had the same felling as when I read Blood Over Bright Haven even though the content was vastly different. Idk just the vibes. The setting is also very interesting, it set around 200 years after an apocalyptic decade and there are

The Isle in the Silver Sea by Tasha Suri

This was a lovely book with fairy tale fantasy and queer characters. It took a bit until I understood how the magic worked but then I became very invested and had lots emotions for lots of people at some point.

Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher

...yes, a second one in one day, but in my defense: it's a novella! It's a slightly different retelling of Sleeping Beauty where the fairy godmother isn't the evil one. (Side note: the German name for Sleeping Beauty translates to "Little Thorn Rose".)

Empire of the Dawn by Jay Kristoff

I actually can't say too much about this because it's the final of a trilogy and nearly anything would be a spoiler. But I can say that nearly all my theories were right and I feel very smart and happy, lol. Especially because I was wrong about who survived
