Yeah, and Tepig evolved to prove a point to its old trainer, but it should have evolved further. I like Incineroar and Charizard (the former moreso), but its a shame my two favorite Fire-Type Starters (Cyndaquil and Tepig) only got to stage 2 with Ash.

Pikachu makes sense from a marketing standpoint and they gave us a narrative reason for Peeks (I dont know why Cap wants to stay one, but hes cool so). Bulbasaur and Dawn's Piplup as well. But Pokémon such as Clemont's Chespin or Dawn's Buneary? No reason.

I like the idea of Ash letting his Pokémon choose whether or not they evolve, Bulbasaur being a personal favorite, but Ash with Emboar (especially now that he has a Mega Evolution) would be so cool!

Put some hot sauce like Tapitio or Tabasco on that and its like a whole new thing tho
