Thanks @mjrichards.bsky.social for the Minolta 16mm camera! It's loads of fun and easy to take anywhere. Loading/handling microfilm is a challenge and I need more practice, but I'm having fun

Going back through the photos I've developed has been a fun winter activity. This is a test shot from the "Long Weekend" plastic camera.

It's snowing again in DC and I'm begrudgingly taking a snow day. The midwestern part of my brain that wants me to work to death is unhappy with this, but it's an opportunity to do some creative things.

Slide Film Sunday:

Reaching back to the only rolls of slide film I've had lab developed. Honestly, I like doing it myself better.

I miss the sleepy August days where I can peel off the road and capture the scenes that intrigue my brain to see in daily life.

I was having a difficult week last week, so I took @nessagray.bsky.social 's advice and went out with a roll of film to shoot the whole thing. It was over two days since there's only like 15min of daylight now. I also redscaled the film to see how Fuji 200 looks in red.

First time shooting Portra 160, and I really enjoy the colors and fine grain.

It's also the last roll from our New York excursion, sadly. The view of the city from Roosevelt Island is something I won't forget.
