Geneviève Bujold’s Janeway had better friendship chemistry with Tim Russ’ Tuvok than Kate Mulgrew’s Janeway. Also, I think Bujold would have been a great lead for a Trek series that was tailored to a more thoughtful, erudite Captain.

As much as I love Star Trek, I need to give this one to Doctor Who. It sparked my imagination as a kid and showed me that using your intelligence and creativity to solve problems was okay. It shaped who I am, and it continues to inspire me to this day.

As much as I love Star Trek, I need to give this one to Doctor Who. It sparked my imagination as a kid and showed me that using your intelligence and creativity to solve problems was okay. It shaped who I am, and it continues to inspire me to this day.

Completely agree! My last Continuing Mission blog post featured a wonderful illustration of an officer in a TNG era skant by @nomnomroko.bsky.social. The SNW skants are my favorite, but I’d love to see more era variants.

I agree. I think it was an intelligent choice that makes the previous 2 episodes even more impactful. The casting choices of his family were brilliant, and Worf’s parents too! So good! There are so many little gems of dialogue too. I would’ve included it in my list had you not included it in yours.
