One of my favourite films, love the artwork on the original UK poster too, must have been considered very macabre at the time.

It's the rose-tinted glass wearers that piss me off. 😂 How everything was so much better 50 yrs ago, what utter cobblers. Yeah I had a great childhood & a fun time, but there's much to enjoy today. And for us fans so many streaming, physical media, book & audio choices. #DoctorWho is dead my arse. 😂

Yup, it's like when they make a cutdown version of a classic era story, a section of the fanbase (sad to say mostly old farts my age still stuck in the 1970s) has a complete meltdown. They're not swapping one version for another, they're just offering alternatives for a younger audience. #DoctorWho

I've not seen them since the late 60s, early 70s, I know that season 3 is mostly rubbish, but I still have vivid memories of season 1&2 episodes that gave me nightmares at the time, so I'm looking forward to revisiting those and seeing which ones trigger any childhood recollections.

Nice one, been watching some of those recently on YouTube, huge fun. Would love to get the complete Lost in Space DVD boxset, but it's hard to find, and when it does surface, it's well over £50.

Ha, love it! A friend of mine just lent me the full DVD boxset for Land of the Giants, plus The Time Tunnel, so I shall be having a nostalgic holiday season, not seen either series since my childhood. Gawd bless Irwin Allen!

Blimey, a Peter Cushing film that I've never heard of before. The things we learn in here. 😀 Cheers, added to the 'find and watch' list.

Unsurprisingly, there appear to be several episodes on YouTube, so will watch a couple to see if that jogs any memories. Of course there's always the possibility when it did air it clashed with something else we liked to watch regularly on the BBC in the same time slot.

Cheers, in the 60s and 70s I grew up with access to both Thames TV and Southern, and our family did enjoy watching westerns, but I still have a complete blank spot for Hec Ramsey, never seen a rerun since either.

There's a zoo in Denmark called Zootopia, and apparently they have had European rights over usage of the name, long before the first film came along.

Oh fella, sending positive thoughts your way, and a pic of better times.

I still prefer the recons, telesnaps and audio narrations over some of the other animations, but certainly not this time.
