Feeling a little better about the abrupt transition to a new employer. Seems to be a company that has their stuff more together than most. Opportunities for support if needed. Hopefully it is a good change in the long run. Obviously it will be bumpy at first. But remaining hopeful.

Well... definitely a new year of things. Current employer is outsourcing my job to another company. Trying to keep positive about it. Not losing my job, just will be different. Hoping for the best.

Text Anxiety - Gator Days Panel 1 Polly is taking a walk. This is one of her favorite streets with a street sign that says "SIGN". It's a great place to go if you're wishing for a higher power to send you a sign. Unfortunately, Polly has a head full of anxious thoughts. She has been waiting for Gwen to text her back but it has taken longer than usual. Polly (thinking): Gwen still hasn't texted back. Is she angry? Panel 2 Polly's thoughts starts to spiral. She's starting to think she might not be a very good friend. Polly (thinking): Maybe I'm bothering her. Am I bad friend? Should I leave her alone? Panel 3 Polly checks her phone and makes a startling discovery that instantly eliminates all anxiety. Polly (thinking): Oh. I forgot to press send on my last text. Panel 4 Now we see Gwen doing some grocery shopping. She's near the produce where we can see a lot of colorful and ideally edible plants for sale. There are "Perfect" CHIVES for sale as well as orange sticks, round brown things, big and green things, and red stuff labelled "RED!!!!!!!!!!". There's also shelf standard store favorites like "Box of Food", "Can of Drink", "FOMO", and "Sold out". It's the usual grocery store stuff. Gwen is also currently feeling relieved. Gwen (thinking): Polly texted! I thought she was mad at me.

Relax - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Polly is attempting to relax at a coffee shop. Unfortunately, her mom asked her to bring her little sister along. Polly just wants to sit and enjoy her coffee but Olivia will be having none of that. Olivia: Why do you like coffee shops? Polly: The relaxing ambiance. I honestly don't know whether I should spell it ambience or ambiance so I'm spelling it one way in the comic and another way in the transcript. Panel 2 Olivia is not finding this relaxing at all. It's just boring. Olivia: What's relaxing? The bad music? The old people? Polly: It's the vibe. There is an older woman standing nearby and Olivia has said what she said in a loud enough voice to possibly offend. Fortunately for her, this old person has ruined her hearing. Please remember to bring ear protection to loud concerts, places with loud machinery, and coffee shops that play bad music. Panel 3 Suddenly, Olivia starts vibrating. She somehow managed to get the staff to serve her coffee. Olivia: I'm not relaxed! I'm shaking! Polly: I told you to get decaf! Panel 4 Perhaps this isn't as boring as Olivia originally thought. Olivia: And you don't look relaxed. Polly: BECAUSE OF YOU! Olivia is not going to sleep tonight.

Transcript Panel 1 August has just finished downloading a game that he's been looking forward to playing. Unfortunately, he also has to get to work so he doesn't have time to playing it right now. On his computer screen is the notice that the download is complete and an option to tip "15%", "30%", or "50%". August (thinking): I've been waiting for this game forever. I'll play it after work. Panel 2 It's later in the evening and August is making dinner. He's putting some onions in a pot and thinking about his new game. As much as he'd like to be playing right now, they got to eat and he promised his son one of his favorite dinners. August (thinking): I'll play it after dinner. Gustopher: TACO SOUP! TACO SOUP! Panel 3 Dinner is done but August is exhausted. He goes to bed and his two cats have quickly settled in for sleep. August thinks about his game but he just doesn't have the energy for it. August (thinking): Too tired... I'll play it later. Panel 4 August is woken up by his to cats touching his face and meowing for food. He'd like to play his new game, but there's things that have to be done and he has to get to work. August: I'll play it after work... Eventually. Nougat: Maw (possibly meaning "Excuse me good sir, but I find myself in a most peckish state and it be pleasing if you could find it fit to fill my dining bowl with your most delicious of food morsels. I apologize for waking you in this most undignified manner but it is imperative that I dine soon I fear that I might perish from this foul hunger.") Mewbert: Mew (possibly meaning "FEED ME! NOW!")

Scary Nights - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Hannah and Olivia are on a bench watching the night sky. The stars are out and the sky is beautiful but Olivia voices a concern. Olivia: It's kind of scary. Panel 2 Hannah looks out in the furthest reaches of space and takes it all in. She finds that she agrees with Olivia. Hannah: Yeah, Space is so vast and inhospitable. It's like our planet is surrounded by an endless void of death. Panel 3 Hannah looks over to Olivia who is starting to look terrified. It is at this point that Hannah realizes that Olivia probably wasn't thinking about space. Panel 4 Hannah acknowledges that she probably misread Olivia's concern. Panel 1 Within a tabletop role playing game, Hannah's character approaches an innkeeper. He is a jovial looking individual with green skin and sword on his back. Along the wall are many bottles filled with juice because this is a family friendly inn. They're not making a lot of money. August: The innkeeper informs you that a room is ten gold coins. Panel 2 At the table, August is leading the game with Hannah, Olivia, Gustopher, and Liam playing. Liam is not on panel in this comic but he is definitely there and keeping a massive pile of notes on every little thing that happens. Hannah: Can I negotiate for a lower price? August: Roll for barter. Panel 3 Hannah rolls a 2. Liam is still not on panel but you can bet he's making a note of this. Hannah: I got a 2. Panel 4 Hannah's glasses flash as she slams her hooves on the table. She makes her next move. Hannah: NEGOTIATIONS HAVE FAILED! I swing my axe at the innkeep! Gustopher: Me too. August had expected this would happen. August: This is why I arm all NPCs. Olivia is shocked by this turn of events. She does not want to get arrested. Liam is still off panel is making a note of this.
