At the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco, over one thousand delightfully diverse decorated cakes were brought by museum-goers participating in the Wayne Thiebaud “Art Comes from Life” Cake Picnic. Under the bright blue sky, as far as the eye could see, cake, cakes, and more cakes dotting rows and rows of tables stretching across the museum’s front lawn.
