Thank you! It’s based on the prologue to The Emperor’s Fist in which Nicol Bolas summons Ramses Overdark, General Elsdragon and Tetsuo Umezawa to the Meditation Realm. Umezawa and Dark failed to quell a rebellion in the previous novel and this was his way of making them aware of his displeasure.
