i also am getting better at modeling at the same speed. the model i used here i made this month, based off a sona ref i also made this month.

im considering using crude 3d (left) to create a spritesheet of renders. this saves me effort manually spriting (right), having to think about things rotating in space. and, by writing the uv to the sprite, we can color the sprite consistently!

(just thought of this, the view *does* know what the neighbors are even if not currently in FOV. however, the tile not in FOV still kind of creates this awkward artifact and weird squareness.)

i beveled the walls of my game! the technique is called "marching squares." it looks like this! i've been messing with this for a while, there's still weirdness to work out, but i think this is the way to go!

Rough PNGTuber for myself. I whipped this up in the last three hours. I want to polish it up, redo internal lines to be smaller, maybe vectorize it. Though I'm happy enough with it to start using it already.

finally beat factorio space age! multiplayer run was scuffed, but my friends and i stumbled across the finish line in 66 hours.

now time to play all the other games that came out around the same time. 💀
