Its not just blender, any software you import it into can arbitrarily interpret edge orientation on quads for some reason, I swear rizomuv and substance painter invert them and I don't know why

Do you have helper bones or shape keys to help maintain the shape when rotating the leg? Or are you just goated at weight painting? I'm always struggling with lowpoly+low bone count hip deformations lol
