I’m going to call this painting “Memories” in honor of my mother who once had a job gathering it. I love painting yarrow flowers. That love was a seed planted in my childhood and is truly a gift from a mother I adore.

One of the 221 Featherweights I purchased came with a case that smelled so bad I couldn’t bring it inside. It was either restore or trash it. I’m restoring it! I’ve taken it down to the wood and treated the mold with white vinegar. Now I get to learn how to recover it. Good times. 😄

In addition to painting I’ve taken up vintage sewing machine restoration. It started as a hobby and has evolved into something more. I’ve even set myself up with a website! www.rewindandsew.com

My second Homestead Star quilt. This was created for a lovely lady I know who suffered a house fire just before Thanksgiving. She adores dragonflies so I chose the Dragonfly Illusions fabric, variegated quilting thread, and used 6mm bamboo batting. It’s kept me from painting but I have no regrets!
