Gianni Infantino declared the Club World Cup "the most successful club competition in the world".

The final had 2.3m peak viewers on Channel 5.

Arsenal v Man Utd in the FA Cup Third Round had a peak of 7.4m & another 4.3m watched on BBC iPlayer.

Comment @theipaper.com
The Club World Cup was a failed vanity project - and the numbers prove it
Fifa president Gianni Infantino is fooling no one with his extraordinary statements

Best cl tie of all time?

@philcosta.bsky.social completely agree with you stock falling. The club was a shambles for the semi and home. For the away leg, they are acting so bad with away supporters. Pick up with passport only. 90 mins from city centre.

Big performance needed today before the international break. Win this and we avoid a top for battle.

I'm going to fuck up in work, my mate is going to back me up and then my bosses are going to issue statements saying we were right. And then, when an independent panel finds that, actually, I did fuck up and my mate did cover it up, nothing will happen and I shall go about my job unbothered.

Right, arsenal fans. Enough is enough with all this gaslighting from the PGMOL & Sky. We need to put together a video of evidence. Who can help?

What we need:

Saliba sending off
Comparison to Spurs/palace & Chelsea/liverpool incidents.
Others?

Tross & Rice
Szoboszlai & many more.

MLS. Easy?

Last night the PGMOL senior leadership sat on a Teams call & discussed their PR strategy which was:

Releasing a statement;
Going to the police;
Contacting Sky;
Briefing numerous friendly journalists;

Imagine they put the same energy into improving refereeing standards instead?

If Coote thought that about Klopp, imagine what Michael Oliver thinks of Arteta? Wonder when his next trip to Abu Dhabi is.

Kai Havertz has more goals this season than Luis Dias, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Diogo Jota.

He also has more goals than Mbuemo, Cunha, Semenyo, and Nico Williams.

4th choice right back. Timber, white, Tomi.
4th choice right winger. Saka, jesus, nwaneri.

Mistake at 2-0 comes from that side.
It's hard to blame anyone.

This is actually another level of madness
Two home games in five days for Arsenal, and they scored a total of one goal from 49 shots (6.44 expected goals). #AFC

You keep thinking that online football fandom has hit a low it can’t possibly dig deeper than. And then you see some of the most diabolical messages sent to the partners of those who happen to have had a bad game.

Big week ahead for arsenal. 3 huge games in 6 days. Big support needed.
January 11, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Do you go full strength against UTD or rest for Spurs?
January 8, 2025 at 10:06 PM
Is Kai on rw and jesus up front actually the better way round?

This, add Bruno to that list too if you can.
Broadly a bit unlucky to lose that 2-0 but Isak and Gordon would be starters for us even with everyone fit and they won the game.

Tough one to take. We were the better team by some way. They were clinical and a bit lucky with both goals. Really disappointing result. This wasn't an Eddie Howe masterclass, this was a finishing disaster-class. #afc

Yes to this
No rest for the best

Give them hell.Howl for every decision,put pressure on the ref, make home advantage count

If we all work together, we can get Joelinton sent off

Put your phone down,get yourself involved & bring your fucking dinner

Don’t foul anyone with your head

What did she wear?

VAMOS!
