He/Him #Thumperfam #Checkers #JessticeLeague I like talking about comic books. And the Arsenal in my handle is the comic character, NOT THE SOCCER TEAM.
Day 4 of my Star Trek Wines advent calendar: USS Enterprise-D Carignan! Notes of malfunctioning Holodeck, Riker’s beard, and the irony that the first TNG wine in the calendar isn’t Chateau Picard!

Finished up my Archie readings with the attempt at reviving the Red Circle/Dark Circle stuff. Black Hood and The Fox were alright, but the other books (Shield, Hangman, and Crusaders) didn’t work for me.

Day 3 of my Star Trek Wines advent calendar: USS Discovery Frizzante! Notes of Mirror Universe, mycelial networks, and aromas of scenes stolen by Tig Notaro!
December 4, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Day 2 of my Star Trek Wines advent calendar: Galileo 7 Cabernet Sauvignon! Fruity with notes of rock-throwing monsters, Zefram Cochrane, and an episode of Prodigy, which is a weird show to reference on a bottle of booze.

So I got the Star Trek Wines advent calendar for this year and started today!

Day 1: Defiant Chardonnay. Notes of dead Changeling, quantum torpedoes, and a teeny tiny shrunken runabout. Aromas of Adam Scott at helm.

Folks, modern Archie stuff is GOOD. (I may be stretching it with use of the term ‘modern’ as all these books are from 2015-2020.)

All year, I’ve been digging into action star filmographies. Starting tomorrow and all December, I’m gonna wrap it up with a Michael Jai White X-mas!

Hey, this book is pretty good!

This movie was pretty good, and I imagine it won’t be long before Mr. Beast makes people compete in one of these.

Now my familiarity with Archie characters is pretty basic, but whomever Dilton is? That dude is 0-2 in surviving these horror books.

First book of this journey surprised me in that it never finished! #9 ends on a cliffhanger and issue #10 is a standalone story that I’m guessing would have played a part in the non-existing finale!

Starting on what should be my last big reading project of the year!

So I recently subscribed to @globalcomix.com and read the four omnis of @mattwagnercomics.bsky.social’s Grendel. I enjoyed those and after finishing, decided the natural progression would be to read Matt Wagner’s Mage next. Finished that today and it was GREAT!

Just finished watching this and although there were some good action sequences, it was kind of a whiff for me. As far as Amazon Prime action movies about the President featuring a cast member of The Boys, G20 was better.

I have finished my deep dive into the filmography of Cynthia Rothrock! Only two movies I couldn’t find, but those can wait for another day should they become available.

PS. Special thanks to the folks at @rifftrax.com for the availability of some of these.

Finished up Lemire & Nguyen’s Descender and Ascender series today. GREAT book. Kinda like Star Wars if they REALLY dealt with the treatment of droids by humanoids.

Also, Driller is the best.

I’d heard good things about Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees and after reading it today, all of them are true. It’s Dexter meets Richard Scarry. Absolute blast!
November 6, 2025 at 6:13 AM
I’m watching the 2011 Three Musketeers this morning and shocked at how bonkers stacked the cast is.
November 2, 2025 at 5:24 PM
In Oct 2023 I managed to watch 101 horror movies in 31 days. 2024 I failed to beat that record. This year, I not only beat the record, I MURDERED it! One hundred and fifty horror movies!
November 1, 2025 at 4:16 AM
I have stared into the abyss, and it stared back. Today I watched *FOUR* Mickey Mouse/Steamboat Willie themed horror movies.
October 28, 2025 at 10:56 PM
Watched this today and enjoyed it! Horror movies might be the perfect fit for Jai Courtney!
October 24, 2025 at 1:44 AM
Now watching: A *LORD* of Illusions? In *THIS* economy?

Black Hammer books are AWESOME. Finished them up today and already putting the World of Black Hammer titles on my library holds immediately!
