When you’re a mechanic everyone thinks that’s all you can do. There is rarely a way out.
Did I have the money? Nope
Did I want to find out what happened if I stayed a tech forever?
Also….no
Student loan, pay nothing for 4 yrs. stop looking at it as a debt, think of it as a bit of tax

Genuinely tho, you can draw/sketch. That’s step 1. Engineering degree with OU, learn CAD software, no reason you couldn’t make a move into design & engineering.
Or consider a move into teaching? Pass your old loves and passion on to the next generation.

Whole family worked in motor trade.
Motorsport was my only love.
Dad “get in to computers” Me: “why?”

Got job offer at Pug dealer thanks to work experience
25 yrs in trade
Now 10 yrs teaching car related stuff

Doubt it. If I was willing to spend that much, I’d probably look into a full rebuild with bigger bearing IMS shaft. Need to look into options and cash flow. Buying the Beemer has wiped out my measly savings. CRV can be sold now, but that means wife needs new (smaller) wheels…
