@profootballtalk.bsky.social have you noticed how ESPN has this week ramped up the chatter about how 'violent' and 'unfair' the play is? Do you think this is a directive from Goodell as he wants it gone?

Or will they never be able to touch big shield for the same reasons? Seeing as RG has 32 bosses to report into and if they don't want government interference, they won't get it? Is the best Trump and Saban can hope for is to flatten college ball? 2/2

Love your work Mike, and your team. I'm from UK so pardon my ignorance, but really how much power can any administration wield over college or the pro ranks? I compare this to the UK government trying to control the EPL soccer and it would never happen. The teams are too powerful and rich. 1/2
