The problem with slop that works, is that it's never secure. First mover advantage doesn't matter when your entire enterprise gets owned by a teenage bitcoin aficionado.

I believe that, for employers, the value of a college degree is not so much in the final grade, as it is in the proof that you can tolerate 4+ years of meaningless make-work on the way to achieve it.

Poor little guy. They're terrified!

/me looks at datasheet...

OK, that's a fscking weird optional 3.3v/5v supply strategy.

I had originally thought you were looking at an IMU, not a position encoder 😅

Woo, got a badge.

(incidentally, I agree).

What kinds of ads are worth $25/impression!?

Also, Sterling/Gibson/Stross would never write something like this because it's too unbelievably cynical. Congrats, we're now outrunning dystopian fiction with reality. I miss the simpler days of the torment nexus.

There's always a big heavy intertia wheel on a potentiometer :D

I dreamed a machine,
Loved tangerine poems more...
Than civil discourse

I'm not actually an AI, but I got tired of waiting for the poem.

Incompetent evil loses on nearly every transaction, but makes it up in volume.

I like it.

I also like: "Why can't it be both?"

I actually live in the small town where they film it, and I can assure you that there are FAR fewer murders than portrayed (but not quite zero).

Incidentally, yeah, I had to fact check, but she did actually say this crap, as reported by a variety of sources, and even some republicans are openly grossed out by it.

I do hate how it's hard to tell the difference between actual footage and an obvious AI generated hit piece. Both show equally repugnant behavior and belief systems, but the ease of deepfakes makes it so that anything that DOESN'T land can just get denied by the true believers :(

I'm a huge Rust fan, and I'm using it for basically everything now (even stuff I used to do in Python). That said, I can see the appeal of a simpler language that has a quicker learning curve. If Zig had caught my eye earlier, I might not have become proficient at Rust.

I like how hazy it is, but I'm not sure about these hops.

Oh, and because I can actually quote sources:

worldpopulationreview.com/country-rank...

P.S. Look at the crazy discrepancy in GDP vs median income. That's ultra rich sociopaths hoarding wealth down south. The fastest way to redistribute it was prototyped by the French back in 1792 or so...
Median Income by Country 2025

Debunking these assholes is kinda like nuclear war. The only winning move is not to play.
November 21, 2025 at 10:11 PM
His whole argument is so douchey. First off, median income in the US and Canada are nearly identical. Surprise. It's just the rich aren't getting richer as fast up here. That's GOOD.
Next, work in total tax, housing, childcare, education and healthcare burden. Surprise, Canada now looks better.

I'll updoot every plotter post with an Isograph in it, and I don't care what anybody thinks about that.
November 17, 2025 at 8:14 PM
I disagree. The 51st state stuff pisses me off, but the daily news footage of the masked corn-fed gestapo assaulting and disappearing anybody that smells foreign is what discourages me the most.
Honestly surprised there isn't a blanket travel advisory for the USA yet.

You even got the right smudgy dot-matrix font on the pipe labels. Chapeau!

It's OK. You had me at eliminating the Billionaires. You don't have to keep selling me on the idea.
November 2, 2025 at 4:11 AM
Gen-X-er here, and yeah, these articles are so bullshit. The crash of 2000 and job stagnation made it harder to make my mortgage payments, but at least I _could_. Stagnant wage growth, housing policy failures and rampant inflation are probably the real problem, but those are hard to solve, so....

I would also accept a little cyberpunk helmet with selective blinkers.
