It's not exactly propaganda - if you actually speak with Jews in Poland, they will explicitly tell you they feel safer here than in UK or other places in Western Europe. It doesn't mean there's no antisemitism here or that Poland has somehow gotten better, just that other places are even worse.

Apart from all the things an author can or cannot do - the awards are also huge boost for publishers and this is an important signal for them to not use AI slop. Yes, it sucks for the author - next time they'll know to try to include that in their contract, then, and will have another reason for it.
