ok this was pretty neat — we were a little worried that the half marathon would mess with us but it was all good, and we got to walk along the route as we went from the train to the convention center! we’ll see how tomorrow’s full marathon compares!!

the CAR is PACKED and the SHELF is EMPTY (of pax stuff 😅)
a large metal shelving unit standing mostly empty. there is a dress draped on it waiting to be altered (lol, someday) and a couple empty bins on an upper shelf. on the tippy top shelf are a couple star wars armada and x-wing boxes, along with a bin full of t-shirt yarn.

i wish we had a garage so we could just pack the car NOW but we only have a giant communal parking lot so instead we’re just incrementally shifting bins from the shelves they’ve been living on, across the apartment and toward the steps and front door 😂
a large set of metal shelves with the upper half mostly emptied and the lower half still full of plastic bins of various sizes, and also a haphazard collection of wicker baskets, wooden shelves, tied up pillowcases, and tote bags several large and medium plastic totes stacked on the floor. also my papier mache dice tree is on top of one bin the view down some steps to a landing. several more large plastic totes are stacked on the landing, possibly creating a fire hazard for someone less careful than me and casey, but don’t worry. also above the totes is a spooky pair of halloween decorations who are in love.

brb making our entire apartment smell like charcoal and burnt MDF (it is not nice like campfire smell, more like your clothes two days after you sat out BY the campfire, but it’s the AIR that smells like that) (and yes i do have the smoke venting outside but there is no Escape from the Smell)

these leaves were the BIG pieces
a piece of engraved acrylic angled to show a few tiny bits of paper masking still clinging on in the shape of leaves on the dice flowers that are engraved into the surface. the flowers are TINY, like 1.5" tall. in the background, there is what can only be described as a "dusting" of the rest of the paper masking that i already scraped off. the pieces are so small that they don't look like individual pieces at all.

my wood dice!!!!

a plethora of wood dice in sizes ranging from tiny 14mm to standard 16mm to hefty 20mm to chonky 25mm. they are laser engraved with so many cute illustrations, all my own original drawings, of bugs, animals, mushrooms, flowers, tabletop gaming items, scrabble tiles, cookies, and environments. there are like forty of them anf they’re just strewn in a sunny patch of dirt, dead leaves, and bright green clover, with a single dandelion in the center. eagle-eyed viewers may observe a die right next to the dandelion featuring a side engraved with that same flower.

three blue tote bags laid out on my kitchen table. they all have vinyl stencils of a raven perching on a skull, and one stencil is covered in a layer of white paint. there’s a pringles lid with a bit of white paint and a little circle of squishy foam that i use as my brush resting on it.

nothing drains my laptop battery like my vinyl cutter 🫠 luckily my apartment is set up very conveniently for having everything plugged in so now all i have to do is stand RIGHT HERE for the rest of the day!!
