Just days after Kier Starmer branded Reform’s plan to scrap ILR as 'racist' and 'immoral', it’s hard to call today’s announcement anything else.
His message here is that some people are less deserving of fundamental rights than others - that inequality is lawful.

The vast majority of our clients detained under "one in, one out" scheme are survivors of torture and trafficking. Our independent clinicians have visited clients in immigration removal centres and found concerning levels of PTSD and suicidal thoughts
