Pakistan has deferred an agreement to buy liquefied natural gas from Qatar for a year, Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik said on Wednesday, and will now receive the contracted LNG cargoes in 2026 instead of 2025.

Muslims have Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha all within a quarter. And then spend the rest of the year with no religious celebrations.

Like you have a month of fasting, 3 days of celebrations, and then another 3 days of celebrations in a little over 2 months, and then nothing all year. 🤷
Only America can really manage to have two holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas so close together without becoming an economic basket case. In a less spiritually Calvinist nation, the instinct to just sack off the rest of the working year would be enormous.
