I will note that the Washington Post, at the very end of a detailed 3,000-word story about how fatal car crashes are preventable, still calls the crash that killed Cecilia Milbourne an "accident."

"The real problem isn't that Vision Zero doesn't work; it's that many places have adopted that slogan without making any real changes. ... It has not been implemented with the resources and commitment and courage from legislators that is required." Whew!

Oof. I have not written about it and don't believe anyone else has at the Bee. Like you (and Moody!), I am more interested in cars because they pose far more danger to others. But the European e-bike speed limits I'm reading about here...seem more reasonable than ours.
