Our boy Gilderoy passed a couple of weeks ago, at home in Karen's arms, assisted by one of the kindest, most loving people I've had the good fortune to hire. We got an incredibly sweet, personalized note from her today.

The French countryside was verdant and pastoral, but after a few minutes of I found myself more interested in reading a book. Still, I appreciate having seen it for myself. Travel for me is a bit like playing a game where the world starts covered up, and as you move around the map gets revealed.
