Last D&D I ran was Age of Worms for 3.5. Probably around 2010. I've played various D&Ds since then, intermittently.

I also do not miss it, and am clear that the feelings I have toward D&D can be classes as nostalgia.

I cut my teeth the The Book, but nowadays I admire the Starter set almost as much. Such economy and clarity of presentation for countless universes to explore.

I say you're golden. Starter Edition and the Traveller Book are the best CT versions IMO, and they're functionally virtually identical.

One PC, a retired senior physician, once patched up a rescued Aslan, mauled by a local Lord and left to die, while another PC, a space pirate gone straight, was the getaway pilot of said Lord's now-stolen Safari Ship.

Let's say there's some... irregularities with the paperwork on that benefit roll.

Sounds terrific! Which ruleset did you use? I prefer Classic for oneshots, myself.

Details, I need details!

Except, of course, for the literal Luck point rules found in the Traveller Companion (for the current edition.)

I had heard that Discord screen share was broke on Linux, but it worked 100% fine - I hadn't had the chance to test it beforehand.

The Dashboard was great. The spreadsheet didn't get touched. I was concerned about getting everything done and ended up with physical notes instead. I probably should have planned it like that from the beginning.
