I suppose every regime of this kind needs not just a Reichstag Fire but also an Otto Strasser.

And that the 1st Amendment is dependent on what it is you actually want to say.

When you say green beans, do you mean runner beans, French beans or broad beans? I would use all those in different ways.
I am not sure if 'green beans' means a specific one of these in the USA rather than something generic.

Shaun Evans would be ideal to play him in a drama.

The one thing I remember is him being interviewed about appearing in 'The Magnificent Seven' and him saying how, despite appearing in Westerns, he never mastered holstering his revolver. If you watch that movie, you can see him carefully looking to get it back into the holster even when running.

is that they are not clinging to the traditional ways 'hard enough'. When I started working in universities I felt they could be a model for business/industry in how to develop staff, but instead so many of them have adopted the worst of 1980s management as if it is some uncontested 'truth'.

and so is ignored or opposed as it was 'not the way we do things here'. Old, often outdated methods, let alone attitudes persist and so lead to universities not working effectively despite being in challenging times. I have heard people literally say that the problem, for example with recruitment

requirement on the ground in universities. This can amplify bad policies higher up, but it can also impact on staff no matter what is going on at the top. It also tends to hamper innovation as anything which was 'not invented here' tends to be seen as some kind of threat to these 'little Hitlers'

against all the mission statements, HR policies, etc. and yet they were never challenged on it or brought to account. Instead they generally have the power to easily remove anyone who is not a sycophant or simply whose 'face does not fit' often due to age, gender or race. 'Loyalty' becomes the prime

I think one of the problems even if the people right at the top are doing things in the correct way (and often they are not) there are many tiers below them that act inappropriately. So many times I encountered heads of department or units behaving in a way which not only was nasty but clearly ran

The trouble is there a queue of MAGAs ready to step into his shoes and as Syria has shown even changing the regime in a country may not change the nature of the people who run it pretty much as it was run before.

Lovely crispy topping which is always hard to get spot on.

But can you find a charging point? The nearest one to me is about 6 miles away. No-one thinks about people living in flats. Am I supposed to run a cable out the kitchen window and across the pavement to charge a car?

Not bothering, just worrying when the money will run out and whether I am now deemed too old to be employed but too young to claim by pension.

I disagree. Some albums are like a form of medication and we turn to them when we have a particular need. Saying that we could only listen to them a certain amount of times is like saying we would have a limit on how much aspirin we could take in our entire lives.

Glad to say when I searched for it your book came out top of the list.

But they are so epic. I would never have heard 'Carmina Burana '"O Fortuna"' or 'I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire' if it was not for them.

Do you have a name for that herb and spice blend? Do you use Iranian or Spanish saffron?

Please tell my landlord so he can fit a heat pump. So many people in my town have no control over how their home is heated and those of us in flats generally have no access to an electric car charger anywhere near where we live.

I do have a suspicion that there will be no Presidential election in 2028, there will be some 'crisis' which means it has to be postponed or suspended or votes from certain states will be considered illegitimate.
