I wouldn’t use metroid prime 4 as a measure of whether voice acting is good or not, the issue is the chatty dialogue might undermines a core game aspect

Pokémon has a lot of characters you regularly talk and interact with. They could just give an option to mute Voice acting so players can choose

Metroid typically guides the player forward through environmental cues/level design

Having a character to babysit that comments non-stop to give clues is worrying people that they’re moving away that aspect

Some People are overreacting, but I think the concern is reasonable
